Quick reminder for Jud-a$$ : NASA runs the space programs. Trump now wants the Pentagon to run them. I wonder what the Pentagon will want to do in space? Trips to Mars, or satellite-based lasers a la Diamonds Are Forever to zap anything or anyone on Planet Earth considered a threat to US national security?
Well, in Trump's own words:
“When it comes to defending America, it is not enough to merely have an American presence in space. We must have American dominance in space. So important.”
Why must we have American dominance? Why not leave space neutral and for scientific research only?
I fear Trump has just sparked yet another arms race that will waste trillions and trillions from national budgets all over the planet just so we can have more and more weapons to kill more people more efficiently.
