WHAT IS IT ABOUT GAGHAN, SODERBERGH AND CLOONEY?

Three Kings - [Clooney] Clooney is one of several US Army soldiers who steal a treasure of gold in Iraq during Gulf War I. Released in 1999.

Traffic - [Gaghan and Soderbergh] Traffic ran away with the Oscars in 2001, and contained two scenes in which several boxes in the foreground were stamped with "9/11"

Syriana - [Clooney, Gaghan and Soderbergh] in a post earlier this year I speculated that Syria was next in line, not Iran. Syriana follows the story of Bob, played by Clooney, who had been in Beirut during the '80s and had infiltrated Hizb Allah, who is sent back to Beirut to kidnap one of two sons of a dying emir who is next in line to inherit a kingdom of oil, and who is not corruptible and willing to play the US stooge. Bob is instead kidnapped by Hizb Allah, and tortured, and eventually killed by a missile fired by the US aimed to kill the emir's son he had initially been sent to kidnap. The story in Syriana was inspired by See No Evil by CIA agent Robert Baer.

Clooney also starred in the 1993 TV Movie Without Warning: Terror in the Towers based on the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Centre (which was known of by the FBI).

Probably just a coincidence.
