Two articles in the FT are backing Fischer for head of the IMF.
Gavyn Davies writes the financial world is in crisis, and only one man can save the planet from total destruction ; Stanley Fischer[1]. Davies assumes that there is already a one world economy.
Mohamed El-Erian of Pimco writes that it is time that the USA and China show Europe that it cannot take anything for granted by proposing Lagarde, and Fischer is already well respected and liked at the IMF having previously held a very senior post there[2].
