ER, ALEX? DIDN'T YOUR FAMILY PUSH FOR CIVIL WAR IN 1861 TO PRESERVE NEGRO SLAVERY?

We really need to know your family's deep connections to and activities in Texan and Confederate military and politics. And their views on negro slavery (but I can think we can all guess that).

My only military connections are that my grandfathers landed on the beaches of Normandy in June 1944 as regular infantry. No brass. No intels. Just regular infantry prepared to die to defeat Nazism. Luckily they weren't killed but the war broke them in different and significant ways.

Your family really is deeply connected to what could be called an extreme rebellious right wing deep state.
