In the film, The American, in which Clooney plays the major role of an assassin being hunted, Clooney is filmed semi-naked in several scenes. In those scenes Clooney has a tattoo of a butterfly on his back.
In other scenes he is filmed with women, and a butterfly (false and controlled) steals the scenes. In one scene he has just handed over a custom rifle he manufactured to a woman (who intends to use it to assassinate him). For almost 1 minute the focus of the scene is on this butterfly fluttering and landing on the woman.
Clooney's character is also called, Mr Butterfly, in the film.
The film is very sensual and sexual.
This suggests that Clooney may, repeat may, be part of a CIA project, Monarch or related.
