Sudan was one of the 7 countries named by General Wesley Clark targeted for war and regime change shortly after 9/11. But it has been barely mentioned.
Israel has been driving a civil war there, which led to the partition of Sudan, with one part being much more Israel-friendly than Sudan pre-civil war.
The ancient John Simpson briefly covers Sudan in Unspun World, but does not mention Wesley Clark and the 7 nation plan.
