ON THIS BEAUTIFUL FIRST DAY OF SPRING THIS MAN'S FANCY LIGHTLY TURNS TO THOUGHTS OF LOVE

What a beautiful day!

I've just driven over T'Pennines on the M62, in a slight mist in watery sunshine...and that sun is warm!

This is the first day of Spring.

Spring has sprung!

And as Alfred Lord Tennyson wrote in Locksley Hall:
"In the Spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love."

The Spinners - Could It Be I'm Falling in Love

But beware of Tennyson.

Tennyson wrote The Charge of the Light Brigade, in which he praises the British Imperialism that was the Crimean War.

The bloody fool!!

And oh, how history repeats itself.
