A bit like the remake of Tora! Tora! Tora! which was released in 2001 which depicted the attack on Pearl Harbour in December 1941 but in much more graphic and emotional detail than Tora! Tora! Tora!.
It's almost as if Hollywood was priming 'Murica for 9/11 and the wars on Iraq and elsewhere that continue to this very day.
