This is partially what Jo Jo Rabbit is about: that while Goebbels and his wife murdered their 6 children with cyanide, the Nazis were using young children to defend Berlin against battle-hardened Soviet men. Goebbels then spent the following day (after murdering his 6 children) writing 6 pages of total Nazi guff, which his adjutant burned after Goebbels and his bitch of a wife thankfully commited suicide.
So why did the Nazis fight on to the bitter end?
My answer from recent personal experience in Austria: total thieving rat scum. There is no honour in Austria. It's rat eat rat. Never ever EVER live or work in Austria. NEVER!!
Anyway, the Nazi deployment of children is not addressed here, but the answer appears to be: pride; fear; bribes. Quite obvious really, but still some interesting facts, and strange questions about North Korea.
