I've been here many times and just today realised that the word "Slavery" is missing!
The slavery bit is on the 3rd floor.
Ground floor focuses on how Liverpool docks developed.
First floor focuses on sinking of The Lusitania.
Second floor on how the seas have been used for travel and trade...and war!
Third floor focuses on the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade, the U S Civil War, the fight for civil rights, and how Liverpool profited from it all.
For example, The Blue Coat School was/is financed by slavery.
Liverpool would not be Liverpool without slavery.
PS there are several museums on The Beatles, but just one 3rd floor museum about what made Liverpool: slavery.
It's almost as if Liverpool is trying to hide its reliance on slavery...
