UAE = death penalty.
Turkey and Japan are a bit more liberal but not that much more than Russia.
Russia does not impose the death penalty for homosexuality. Russia is very concerned it is kept away from kids (which seems to annoy Stephen Fry).
It's all in her name. Billions grow up identifying with the name Madonna due to religion. And if the mother of Jesus says Russia is bad then billions might think that way.
It's the same with her behaviour during the 1980s and 1990s, prancing around, starring in films with outrageous Illuminati symbolism (Desperately Seeking Susan).
Madonna is a classic in the use popular culture for mind control.
