For years Israel has been able to bomb Syria, but Israel must tell Russia first.
Last weekend that arrngement brokedown. Result? 14 dead Russians.
If Russia had given Syria the S300 3 years ago, when Russia overtly joined the war (just 1 week before the final report on MH17 was published), the war in Syria may well have ended by now.
But it's dragged on and on and on.
So that now Russia has to reluctantly give Syria the S300 for the publicity.
