Johnson's Zero Carbon policy he announced yesterday is simple highway robbery!
Heat pumps are expensive and useless without insulation, so in addition to the pump you will also need to fully insulate your house AND replace the radiators!! Very few will be awarded the partial grant for the heat pump, which means millions will fork out tens of thousands of pounds for inconvenience and more expensive fuel and maintenance bills.
And mortgages to be prioritised for greener homes, ie you pay for the full insulation.
So basically you MUST pay thousands for a heat pump, thousands for the maintenance, thousands more for fuel, thousands for radiators or floor heating, and thousands for full insulation otherwise you will not be able to get a mortrgage.
