Dominic Cummings is credited with being the driving force for the pro-Brexit propaganda that led to a vote to leave the EU in 2016.
Cumming's wife is Mary Elizabeth Lalage Wakefield.
She is the daughter of, gettaload of this: Sir Edward Humphry Tyrrell Wakefield, 2nd Baronet, and Katherine Mary Alice Baring.
Katherine Mary Alice Baring is a direct descendant of Francis Baring who established Barings Bank and was the Chairman of The British East India Company.
Both Barings Bank and The British East India Company were the beating heart of the British Empire for around 60 years 30 years either side of 1800. I did some research on the Barings about 6 years ago using a book entitled, "The Sixth Great Power : Barings, 1762 - 1929"
A quick search on Peerage suggests that the family of Cummings' in-laws is infested with sirs, baronets, etc.
Which suggests that they are straight-up old school British establishment.
How did Cummings become the driver of the propaganda to leave the EU?
